A poster in a window or on a headquarters wall is read by somebody standing still, at arm’s length, with time. That is the opposite of a yard sign, and it is the one place in a campaign’s print where more information is genuinely useful: a date, a QR code, a location, a second line.

It changes the material too. Indoor paper posters are cheap and look better than plastic; a window sign facing out needs its artwork reversed if it is going inside the glass, and it needs to be printed on something that does not curl in a hot shop window. Can supporter signs be sticky-backed?

We would rather they were not. An adhesive that survives a season on glass or paintwork is an adhesive somebody has to scrape off in November, and that is not the last impression a campaign wants. A light stock that goes up with tape does the job without the complaint.
